adsl modem can it work on dial up

I have fallen heir to an old laptop which dont got no modem built in.. I have an alcatel speedtouch froggy ADSL modem from my original BT broadband days. Will this work (via the usb socket)as a dial-up type modem ? (might seem a dumb question to you,but I can do DUMB very well..:-) Cheers guys/gals

Sorry, delivery is a flat £1.99, even better again.

I should say I have used them a number of times now, excellent service. I especially like their hard drive caddies but be advised, you cannot hot swap drives.
