As far as I know, BT (Wholesale) will be offering ADSL2+ services from early next year, however, if your exchange has already been unbundled then you may be able to get ADSL2+ services now.

LOL! You got the need for speed harps1h? Is 8 Meg not fast enough now ;)

not really. it was more of an idle question as i had been reading uip on it and the new network systems being introduced. the connection is still running extremely fast amd i couldn't be happier about it at the moment. it appears there is no throttling so far

"it turns out that my exchange is Q4 2008"

That doesn't mean thet you have to wait for your exchange to be upgraded to 21CN in order to get ADSL2+ speeds.

Is BE listed as available at your exchange?
If so then you will be able to get speeds up to 24 Mb depending on your distance from the exchange.

i am 90 secs from the exchange and BE have no time on coming to it.

It's a shame as you would get the full 24 Meg if it was available.
