Adobe reader 'blue screen'

When I go to a web site with a link to a PDF file I often get the dreaded 'blue' screen - with the message 'page_file_in_non_page_file_area'.
Now I don't know what this means!!
Is there a way of ensuring I can load a PDF file and not get the 'blue' screen.
opening Adobe beforehand does not work - sometimes just loading Adobe Reader causes a blue screen. I've tried an alternative PDF file reader and the same happens.

You can ignore my first post then.

Have you tried the new Firefox 2.0 (FF), or even a FF uninstall/reinstall? G
