Adobe Reader 9 Won't let me fill in a form?

  Blessed 13:07 20 Nov 2010

I downloaded a Physicians Office questionaire form that has lines for me to put in my information.

When I click on the line, and try to type, nothing happens.

If the pdf is protected then it can not be changed.

Does the download site say it can be filled in on the computer or does it have to be printed off and hand written?

Many down loadable pdf docs do not allow on screen edit. You usually have to print the form out and complete by hand.

What the guys above said. I don't think I've ever seen a .pdf that you can fill in on screen: normally, you have to print them out, fill in by hand and mail it back.

you can't edit it with Adobe reader - it's called 'reader' because that's all it does, it allows you to read PDF files, not edit them. 13:45 24 Nov 2010

Pdf-xchange viewer will allow you to type onto a pdf document. It's worth checking out.
