Hi,
Do I need to uninstall Adobe Reader 7 before installing the new Adobe Reader version 8?

Cheers, Chris.

Have a look at Foxit reader first ;-)

I've have both Adobe Reader (now Version 8) but also, as dadyassa suggests, Foxit Reader.

This is much smaller size wise and I use it as the Default. See:

I can't remember if I uninstalled Adobe Reader 7 before installing Version 8, but although both are listed only Version 8 is operational.

I didn't uninstall 7 before 8. Had no problems.

I just installed over the top of 7.

Adobe 8 just seemed to install OK. It replaced the 7 Icon on the desktop, but I found that it had left most of the 7 files in the Adobe folder.

It will load over the top but best go for the fresh install. Remove 7 first - it only takes a few minutes and a reboot.

I uninstalled V7, ran CCleaner then installed the new Adobe V8.

Thanks, Chris.

Is V8 Free?
Thanks David

Yes it's free click here

Remember to untick the google tool bar that comes with it if you don't want it.

Cheers, Chris.

If you`ve got IE7 and it`s search engines (In top right of screen) why would you need Google/Yahoo toolbars????
