Have XP Prof, latest updates etc.

Downloaded latest version of Adobe Flash. Tried to install - received a message " Error opening file for writing - C:\windows\system32\Macromedia\Flash\Flash9b.ocx.

Looked in my IE7 and under add-ons that file is there and in the active x section.

Try Flash from here if no joy with the above.

Flash Player for Firefox click here

Flash Player for IE click here

There has been no end of problems with Flashplayer for months, and possibly linked to using ccleaner or regscrubxp.

The links i have provided should sort you out.

I would just like to thank skidzy for the reply to this question. I have been trying all day to download Active X as it was needed to update BT Help and although it said it had been downloaded, this was not the case.I have now downloaded from click here and all is working ok. Thanks again

Nothing to do with Ccleaner. Been using for quite a while. No problems with flash.
