Since yesterday every web page I go to causes this message to appear from Internet Explorer Security...

'A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer'

It warns me that the program will open outside of protected mode.

Adobe Flash Player

/system32/macromedia/flash/flashutil10b.exe

As far as I know I haven't changed any settings, and it will pop up at least 5 times on the page whether I click 'allow' 'don't allow' or the x icon.

Ticking the box 'do not show me this warning' has no effect either.

How can I solve this annoying problem ?

Try downloading and installing the latest Adobe Flash Player from here - click here

** Note - if you do the above UNTICK the option to install Free McAfee Security Scan. **

If the above doesn't fix it try reseting IE8. Note you'll have to re-enable addons and reinstall iespell if you use it. Tools, intrnet options, advanced tab and reset.

Delete the old version before installing the new version.
You can download it from here with no add-ons.
