adobe flash player

i am constantly having problems with 'flash' player:i need to keep installing/reinstalling all over again, over and over.i follow correct procedures(using the 'uninstall' programme facility from adobe)but, after a few days,it is gone again.
when it was 'macromedia' flash, had few problems-seems, since adobe took over, problems have increased. it is so frustrating as i need the flash player for certain visited websites, particularly the cbbc site, which relies on flash animation.
this has gone on for some time now and no solution has been forthcoming;even visited the adobe help site but to no avail.
anyone any comments/advice? i run XP home/IE6.
