Adding a Second SATA HDD

I understand how to add an additional HDD for IDE making one a slave and one a master. My question involvrd SATA if a PC already has a SATA HDD and I wishes to add an additional HDD is this a simple option. If it is so is there any documentation on the web that will give you a talk through or can any folk on the PCA site give me some idea.

As far as I know you just plug it in on its own lead and format it.

So long as drive is not a SATA11 drive. You just plug the data and power cables in and fire it up.

No jumpers are needed as all SATA drives are masters.

Open disk management and format the drive.

Or as per TB

two or more.

thoretically you are susposed to be able to daisy chain drives together but I've never tried it.

My motherboard has room for 4 individual SATA cables for installing 4 drives. Check your manual.
