Adding new RAM

I have just finished a new build base unit with 80GB hard drive with 512RAM. I'm now wishing I'd put in double the memory. Would any type or make of 512RAM be suitable to add-in or would there be a conflict?

Thanks for the site but it is asking for the manufacturer. would that be the motherboard manufacturer?

ICF is spot on.

I have tried many times to use spare ram i have had laying around, only to find out its non-compatible.

Crucial will guarantee there ram will work with your system,or money back.
