Adding External Speakers To My Sony Vaio

I Am Trying To Link Up External Speakers To My Sony Vaio (pcv-w1/g).
My Problen Is that The Audio Connectors On The Pc Are For Input only. This Model Is An All-In-One Package So I Cannot Add New Internal Hardware. Can I Use A Usb Port To Extract Audio Through Standard Hi-Fi Speakers?

If it's a laptop, bung you speaker jack into the headphone socket.

sorry just had a quick net scour and found it's one of those nice looking entertainment type all in one pc's, according to the spec there should be a stereo output you can plug your speakers into.

Looking at the post by jimmy f. I am looking to attach external speakers to my HP base unit which I have just bought, are all speaker jacks the same size ?

mostly although you sometimes get the larger ones found mostly on hi-fi's of which you can buy a £1.00 adaptor for.

you wont have any probs 99.9% of all pc's come with a speaker output, microphone input and a line in for recording etc.

Thanks for that jonnyTub, hope I didn't hijack someone else's thread.

Cheers, gedr.
