i am having problems installing a multimedia audio device as it can't find the drivers.i put my sound blaster 1024 cd in and it couldn't find the driver.
i cant think what driver it wants.
anyone out there have a clue?
thanks in advance.
ps . ive got a yellow mark above'other devices'on device manger.

Write down the file name then seach the cd.. Once found then try installing again then navigate to where the file is located..

all it says is 'please wait while the wizard searches for multimedia controller'.
it doesn't say which file it is looking for.

could i use the sound blaster 5.1 drivers?

Assuming your OS is 9x/ME , the Creatives 1024 cd should autoplay from there you can choose to install the drivers , if autoplay is turned off access the cd and click on setup , or if you want to get Windows to install the drivers you will have to use the browse facility.

If your OS is XP , i think you will need to have a look online for drivers as the card was preXP.

Just had a look on Live 1024 cd and the setup is in the folder `ctrun`icon of a cd named ctrun , you can also access the english version by opening the `audio` folder next the `english` folder followed by the`auto` folder , again look for `ctrun`.
