Adaware vs. Surfairy

Hi, I have just run Adaware for the first time since installation and apart from the tracking cookies, it has presented me with a list of Surfairy reg values and keys. I know I have Surfairy on my computer as I have Packard Bell and Surfairy can be found in the Smart Restore in there.

What should I do? Should I delete it and if so, by going into Smart Restore and uninstalling it, or by deleting them with Adaware?

You should be able to delete it from Control Panel, Add or Remove programs.

I should, but I can't. It's not there!

Open a DOS command prompt window (from Start->Programs->Accessories) and enter the following commands:

For the Hlp variant:

cd "%WinDir%\System"
regsvr32 /u "\Program Files\Surfairy\SurfairyHelp.dll"

Or, for the PP variant:

cd "%WinDir%\System"
regsvr32 /u "\Program Files\Surfairy\SurfairyPP.dll"

Restart the computer.
Delete the Surfairy folder inside Program Files.
Open the registry editor (Start->Run->regedit) , find and delete the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Surfairy.

That's odd click here

I would let Ad-aware remove it. Close all browser windows first.

I think I know why Surfairy doesn't show up in Add/remove, Vog but please correct me if I'm wrong. When I go into Smart Restore where I can find Surfairy, it's just sitting there waiting to be either installed fully or unintalled.

(sorry about my spelling, it's dreadful)
