Adaware 2007, Help Please??

  Green 1 02:00 30 Aug 2007

I have Adaware 2007 and have had it since it came out, but just last night it has put a little Icon near to the computer clock that dosen`t seem to do anything and I cannot get rid of it, please can anybody tell me how to remove it, perhaps it needs a tick taking off of it somewhere. I`m not very techie so is it possible to make it simple please. Many thanks for any replies I may receive.

Is it the Microsoft Update icon? There were some new ones yesterday.

Go to click here and download/install the latest high-priority updates.

I think you are stuck with it:

Try a right click on the icon.
It says it will abort scan.
I do not know if it does

Yes, we are stuck with it. However, I have emailed Lavasoft suggesting that they give this icon a use - that is, to at least give it the purpose of opening Ad-Aware.

I don't suppose my email will have any effect, but nothing ventured, nothing gained!

just hide it. task-bar>properties>notification area>customise click on the ad-aware icon and chose 'hide'.

I had same problem.

Brilliant, I hadn't thought of that.

Reading previous-perhaps that doesn't work. I haven't restarted yet.
I'm going back to SE version.

I tried that but it came back.

Dipso provided me with this link for the previous SE here
