after updating ran a full scan as i always do after an update - found 18 TIA classed cookies - pressed remove. ad -aware reported it needed to reboot and cleaned only 2.
So rescanned to give it a second chance of cleaning without a reboot this time found 26 TIA cookies, how did it miss 8 the first time around and never had to reboot to remove cookies before anyone else having similar?

Ta much so!

2nd scan removed all 26 without reboot. the cookies all contained the word "revsci" no idea where they come from.
will reboot anyway and scan with superantispyware afterwards just to be sure.

found this info on the web to prevent the revsi problem.
Internet Explorer:
Go Tools->Internet Options->Privacy and click Sites. You can then add revsci.com and ads.revsci.net/adserver to your list of blocked sites so that cookies from that site are refused automatically
Firefox:
Go Tools->Options->Privacy->Cookies and click Exceptions. There you can add ther above to the block list
