So other people who are not as clever as you may realise that 'Ad-aware' does not run by itself, as I thought. I was under the impression it stood guard like Zone Alarm. You don't have to be clever to read a program's Help file - how else are you going to find out how to use it?

graham, AVG runs in the background, protecting your system at all times.Ad-aware, you run manualy at the end of each internet session, or once a week if you wish.ZoneAlarm, runs all the time and like AVG protects your system.Spybot, I think needs to be run manualy like, Ad-aware. Regards. J.
