Hi Folks,

My Ad-Aware 2007 (FREE VERSION)Automatic update has gone OFF. Is anyone else having this problem. Is there a way I can set it back to ON.

Try manually restarting the service by following these steps:
1. go to the start menu, click 'Run...' and type 'services.msc'
2. in the services window, locate 'Ad-Aware 2007 Service', select it and click 'Stop'
3. when the service is stopped, click 'Start'
4. When the service is running, try starting Ad-Aware 2007 again.

If hat doesn't work and you are using Vista come back.

So far as I am aware the real time protection and automatic updates do not work with the free version.
Possibly you have downloaded a trial version which was fully operational and the trial run period has now expired.

Mine has also gone off when I last up dated
Does it matter?

cocteau48 is correct there is no auto update available in the free version. I gave you a fix for the Plus version. Please ignore me.

I have a RED Circle & White Cross on Real Time Protection for the Free Edition.

The Automatic Update had a Green Tick.

yes it went off on the last update. No it doesn't matter, I do mine Manually but on Startup it does. Mine doesn't because I have my Broadband unplugged when I shut my computer down sach night & I bootup with out it. After booting up I plug in Broadband.
