Activex pop-up nuisance

  User-9477D528-F91F-47D3-97547041A7F1743D 17:27 17 Sep 2007

Whilst using IE7 to search the web a small window frequently appears every time I click a link and locks up Internet Explorer, it says: "Do you want to allow software such as ActiveX controls and plug-ins to run? Yes/No".

I have to keep clicking Yes or No to get rid of it.

Can someone please tell me how to stop this nuisance - thanks

Click on Tools, Internet options, Security, Custom Level. Scroll down to 'Run Activex Controls & Plug Ins'
click 'Disable' (not 'prompt')click OK. This should stop the window appearing, but some web pages etc may not show contents properly with-out Activex, but you can aways reinstate 'prompt'
