If I need to reinstall XP on a new hard drive I expect to have to phone Microsoft to re-activate as I did last time as it thinks I`ve installed more that one copy.
Will I still be able to get new codes after the end of XP support.

XP support is not ending in June.

It MAY be that PC manufacturers will not be able to sell it with new PCs - but MS keep moving the goalposts.

Your best bet if its OEM xp is get Acronis True Image and create a Image of the Drive or Partition that as XP on it you can then load this as many times as you like without activation, if it goes on the same computer. You can also load the Image on a New Drive without load XP or Software its all done in one go
