Acronis true Image, help please

  bumpkin 17:25 02 Nov 2010

Hi everyone, I have made recent postings regarding trying to sort my sons PC, thanks to your help and advice I did this including using Aconis to create an image.
He has only had it back 3days but broken again.
I wish to restore the image. The image is on hard drive E and is named "ful backup 29.10.10
10File 36,779,252KB"

When I run Acronis, Restore Image it says "please select an image archive in the tree below then press next to
restore the partitions this image contains"

Fine but the image file does not show as an option hence no next button.

Can any one help on this one please.

Can you not click on Browse for Image?

Thanks Fruit Bat,
How do I do this in Acronis?

Did you expand the + tree?

Is the hard drive E an internal HDD or external?
If external you have to have it connected and switched on before you boot pc up with Acronis boot CD.

Manage and restore backups - Select back up to restore - next to that is a browse for images

Try again I thought I had sent this.
Yes I did expand the tree.
Fruit bat thanks for the link that is exactly what I would expect it to do but in my case when I open E it is not shown using Acronis, the file shows if I click E etc in my comp so it must be there.

Check other Drive Letters as they do not always show under the correct Drive letter. Try booting with Acronis CD, then look for the Image in the tree after pressing restore tab
