Hi ihave just purchased true image 11 i want to back up my entire pc do i need to do a typical, custom, or complete installation i am a novice many thanks trainman2

Load it and choose Backup, then Create a Image file to another drive or Partition

I would do a complete installation

Typical -- installs most common program features (recommended for most users)

Custom -- allows users to choose program features to install and select a location for setup (recommended for advanced users)

Complete -- all program features will be installed (requires the most disk space)

Also a full install allows you to create a boot CD so that if your computer will not work, you can start with boot CD and load a Image you created to get it back working.

PS files created after creating the Image will be lost. Thats why you need to keep one up todate
