You should have no problems with TI 11, I used it when I was running Win 7 RC1 with no problems. I have since upgraded to TI 2010.

If you have an external drive to save your full backup, Acronis is the way to go.

Win7, gives you the choice of installing either 32bit or 64bit, but not both. I would go for 32bit, but others might have other ideas.

You don't actually need to use Acronis if you just want to backup your data files, photos, music, etc. You could just copy these to an external drive.

Then, when you've installed your new OS, copy them back again.

However, if you've got Acronis anyway, then it would also be a good idea to run a full image of your Vista system before you install W7. That way, in the unlikely event of anything going wrong with the new installation, you could revert to your old system.

True Image 2010 seems the best yet, I was expecting it to be bloated & slow but runs much faster than 2009. I'm glad I upgraded the most useful piece of software I own.

hi all thanks for your replies very greatful, forgot to put in my original post i do have external hard drive.rawprawn may i ask did you upgrade your version of TI 11 or did you purchase 2010 seperately.thanks.

It was a new 2010 download not an upgrade, but I was fortunate enough to get it free, compliments of Acronis because of some problems that arose earlier. You should have no trouble with an upgrade it is still the same program. I upgraded from TI 10 to TI 2009 with no problems.

"I upgraded from TI 10 to TI 2009"
should be TI 11 to 2009
