Acronis: Can I Image one ext HDD onto another?

Having replaced my laptop's HDD with a larger one, and clean installed XP, I can now use the old one in a caddy as portable storage.
The old OS is reasonably serviceable and I would like to preserve an image of it on one of my larger ext. drives...just in case!
Can TI Home 2009 do Ext to Ext drive images?

You should be able to, I did same as you on a Medion Laptop Fitted a bigger Drive and Faster, But I left the OS and everything on the old drive and fitted in caddy so I can just fit it back if things go wrong with the new one. I still Have Images with Acronis.

Thanks woodchip,
I want me cake and me Ha'penny as well, lol
Want to use the little HDD as a handy storage disk, but keep the old complete OS, just in case I pass the lappy on one day (If I live that long!) so that it's useable, but I can swap the old 20 GB drive back and gain a 120GB portable!
Just hope it don't confuse Acronis!

Success, I think!
That's the only prob with TI, you don't know its a duff copy until you try restoring from it!!

After completing the backup, you should be able to Validate the Backup.
