After closing Internet Explorer I receive the following error message:

Acrobat IEHelper: ieexplorer.exe Application error:

The instructions at "0x1001ca87"referenced memory at "0x1001ca87". The memory could not be read. click OK to terminate the program.

This is happening since yesterday. I have made the following changes yesterday:

1. Uninstall FireFox;
2. Installed Blueyonder PCGuard;
3. Uninstasll Norton Anti Virus and Firewall;
4. Uninstall Ad-Aware to avoid conflict with PCGuard.

I could try "System Restore". Doing so I will loose all protections.

Any idea you wise folks.

Try disabling the Acro helper in IE, then re-enable it, see if helps, zarobian. There are a few hits on Google with similar errors, some blame an update from MS, others blame a conversion program called "solid converter".

To disable the acro plug-in go to (in IE) Tools > Manage Add-ons, the rest is self explanatory.

Or try uninstalling Adobe Reader, then re-installing it. I use version 5.0.5 after having some problems with version 6.

Thanks for your quick response and advice.

I disabled and renabled the IEHelper as suggested. It did not help. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Acrobat Reader 7.0 from the PCA cover disk. No joy.

I was closley observing this phenomenon and find that it is happening only on a particular Web site. It does not report error on opening and closing other sites. I repeated your suggested idea which is spot on after launching the offending site and closing it again. Same problem.

I, therefore, sent an email to the web master and awaiting his reply.

If it is happening only on that particular site I can live with it.

Thanks for your help again and will bookmark it for future reference.
