Acer Travelmate. Want To Use External Keyboard.

  Legslip 21:20 27 Sep 2009

I have an ACER Travelmate 7520 that I want to use as a temporary replacement for my shot away desktop. I have got my external monitor working OK but cant seem to get it to use the keyboard. Any solutions?

What sort of keyboard USB or PS2?

Thanks Fruit Bat. It's a PS2 with a USB adapter as there are no PS2 ports.

“It's a PS2 with a USB adapter”

It will be better if you use a straight USB keyboard using a PS2 to USB adapter can causes the

USB port not to see the PS2 device

Thanks Ambre4. I have got plenty of PS2 keyboards but not b...y one USB. They are cheap enough so I'll get one tomorrow.

I've never got one of those USB-PS2 adaptors to work, you can get a USB keyboard for £5.

Yep, thanks Fruit Bat. See previous.

Thanks all. Funny, a PS2/USB adaptor doesn't work but a direct USB keyboard (fiver) did. One to remember.
