Acer laptop keyboard problem

  JF25 23:38 24 Jun 2010

I had to uninstall everything off my Acer laptop and reinstall via the Acer recovery system.
I now find that some of the keys have got transposed and for example the @ key produces " and vice versa the pound sign produces # and that key produces \. I do not seem to have a pound sign at all, the key next to it is a dollar sign and oit is ok. Anybody got any ideas?

The number lock has been turned on, this can be turned off by pressing fn + f11.

Or go to Region and language and change English Us to English uk.
If you find a box with both on remove English US.
Sorry its been a while since I had to change my settings but that would be how to sort it if northumbria61 solution does not work..

Yes Buteman is quite right it has just loaded the US settings for your system instead of the UK. It was always the default setting.
