Acer laptop

Hi all
I have just bought me a new Acer Laptop, but now mystified as to how the CD is offered to the tray. On my tower I simply slid the CD onto the tray and closed up. But with Acer there seems to be some protusions around the central hub that prevents the CD from bedding down.
I am trying to activate my "Speedtouch 530" whicvh I assume will be compatible.

Hold the underside of the tray and push the CD down, there will be a bit of resistance.

Because a laptop is a mobile device, the cd has to be firmly clipped onto the central spindle. As hymerman says, it takes quite a litle push and a bit of a knack at first but you soon get used to it. Index and second finger tips each side of the hole in the cd and take the pressure of you pushing down onto the tray by putting your hand under it. Give it a quick spin to make sure it's on straight, then push the draw closed.

Good luck.
