  Shark boy 19:51 03 May 2009

My mum's acer aspire one won't boot - just stays on a blue screen with "Aspire One" and logo in the corner. Help me please somebody! Will check back every five mins or so.

Thanks a bunch,

Try tapping the "F5" key immediately after powering on, which should bring up the Boot Menu with various options. Select the option to boot with the "Last Known Good Configuration" and see if that sorts it. It is possible though that the Acer "splash" screen, which you're seeing at the moment, will prevent you from seeing the Boot Menu.
