Acer after sales service

I have recently bought an Acer Aspire wlmi which promised to be a nice machine but...

Does anyone have experience of the Acer back up service available? For weeks I have been unable to get in touch with them by phone email nor letter using the systems Acer demands. I received one very inadequate reply with apologies some weeks ago but it has dried up all together. My problem is that the laptop is very sluggish in some respects for a fairly top notch machine but I have no idea of knowing whether it has an inherent fault.

I would appreciate any comments.
