Acer 9303WSMi laptop Memory upgrade query

Hi guys.

I have just upgraded my memory from 2 x 1GB matched pairs to 2 2GB matched pairs, but the side bar gadget says I'm only working with 3GB. Right clicking My Computer and selecting Properties, tells me I have 4GB installed .....

How can I tell how much memory is being used by the system (some will be for graphics I know) and if any is being wasted or not used for some reason ???

btw, Running Vista Home Premium :)

i could be wrong but i think you can only have 3Gb with a 32 bit system.or it will only show as 3Gb.

Ok .... rings some bells from when I last looked at the Crucial site .......

Just ran CPU-Z and it can see 4GB, but doesn't tell me if Windows is using it all or not.

Does anyone know a way of finding out if Windows is using the full 4GB or only 3GB?

Windows 'Task Manager' says I have 3069 Mb of Physical Memory and 1263 Cached and 52 Mb free ..... What does this mean???
