accessing harddrive

i wonder if any one can help me. I am trying to upgrade my computer and am having trouble with copying file's to disc.I have with help managed to save some to floppy but whenever i try to save to disc i get an error message saying f:\ is not accessible Incorrect function.Can anyone point me in the right direction as it is driving me bonkers. Thank's inadvance for any help.

I assume that F: is an additional disk, Is it internal or external or flash even? Is the disk formatted. Which Windows version are you using?

Hi Zeppelyn It's my cd rewriter,i'm using XP HE and what is a formatted disc, sorry for being a bit slow.

You need a CD_RW (CDrewrite disk) in your F drive then XP can copy files to it.

You could install something like Nero o write to ordinary CDR disks.
