Access Query Help

How can I create a append query that adds a line to a table with one of the fields being the current date and time?

Think I've done it.

Now is it possible to write something that will run this query every five minutes (for example)?

Yes, you can either do it from within access or use the Windows Task Scheduler.

Try this:-
Create a form
In design mode open the form properties and set Timer Interval to 300000 (5 mins).
Create a procedure in “On timer” to run the query - DoCmd.OpenQuery ("YourQueryName").
When the form is open your query will run every 5 minutes.

Only problem with that method is that the DB has to be open all the time. One reason I suggested the windows task scheduler.

one question that has to be asked is why do you want to do this?
