access, function keys

Is there any way of assigning words/phrases to function keys to enter often used words or phrases into Access databases? Other than using drop down menus with pre determined entries.
Cheers

If you are using forms in your database and you can deal with VBA you could look at the following which shows how to detect a function key press.

I would imagine you could also find some "macro" software out there (almost certainly free) which allows you to assing text/actions to keys and use that to avoid any access-specific development being required.

I believe this is on PC Pro's coverdisk each month for example:

I used to own a Dreamcast many years ago that allowed you to assign function keys with any text you wanted without you having to keep typing it all the time. Strange how it is not possible to do this on a proper computer without having to pay for software to do it.
