Hi,

I have a simple MS Access database that has a nice an simple Import routine, whereby an excel file is imported when the user clicks import. Would it be possible for me to somehow log the path of the excel file that has been imported and record the windows user name that performed the import, in a simple report or table - E.g.

Date:
File:
User:

Thanks for any help.

Since nobody else has relied yet - my guess is that you will have to use VB Basic.

Yup im thinking so too. Can anyone offer some advice to record these required values via VB and store them in a table.

Not an answer - but a way to go...

Is probably the best. You will need to register - but it's free. And threads there are usually fairly quick.
