access to; is this true?

from another thread on this forum

"i am on bt broadband and i know that my user name used to be [email protected] but now it has changed to your email address so [email protected], u have to log in with you main user email atleast once a month other wise they see u as unused and cut off ur access."

I thought this only applied to Yahoo mail and not BTYahoo?

since when does one HAVE to log in to ones server at least once a month on BTYahoo else one will lose the facility; this is complete news to/for me

I've been with for four and a half years and have never heard of that one.

neither have I; however, if it were true it might perhaps explain some of my mailing problems, as described on my other thread; interesting, some of the things one reads on here:))

I wish I could find the thread i read this on, as it is really wrong advise; still searching for it:(( anyone seen it anywhere? probably on a thread discussing OE or BT BB ; should have bookmarked it really..

The thread you are thinking about was yesterday started by NEW USER 3605 and titled BT BROADBAND NOT CONNECTING.

I thought at the time that the reply given was a bit iffy!
I've certainly not had to do what is suggested with BT all the years i've been with them.

thanks for that:I have found the thread and posted to it; the problem is that BTinternet is also BTYahoo, and Yahoo is different TO btyahoo,but probably confused with it;

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
