about maxium ability of processor linked with RAM

i need to know how much RAM that my intel celeron processor can handle.
currently i have 319mb RAM in my computer, which consists of 1 64MB chip and 1 256MB chip and i used up the 2 slots in my computer.
So how much RAM could my processor handle if i was to increase the RAM space in my computer?
i have 20gb memory space in hard drive with a CD-ROM speed of 48x (if thats got anything to do with this), 11mb shared video memory.
My intel celeron processor does 766Mhz of speed on my computer, what do you recommend what RAM chip should i get?
i think the maxium space allocated for the computer is 256+256=512MB space maxium.

The max RAM support is 512MB. click here to select memory upgarde, HP, then Pavilion 7800 series, then your model.

The limitation is in the chipset, the Intel i815, used on the motherboard. So it's going to be, as you say, 256+256MB.

You can add another 256MB stick of ram, that with the other will give you 512MB RAM.

However you graphics are shared with your RAM so you will have 501 MB of RAM in total.

click here and you can get a 256MB RAM for £39.94

Also rememeber that you will have to remove the 64MB stick.
