Why does A2 always insist on a system restart after every update now? This has been going on for a while but did not use to be the case.

A2 does not request a restart with my updates.

Nor with me.

  sunny staines 19:11 06 Jun 2006

just checked with todays update, no restart their either.

Just updated it. No restart need.

I've used the program for about 2 years and the only time I remember a restart was when the basic program was updated to a newer version.

It never asks for a restart when updating definitions.

Perhaps I should add that I have the free version. Is it a marketing thing to make me buy the full software?

  VoG II 19:13 06 Jun 2006

I have the free version. It never asks for a reboot.

  rotormota 19:15 06 Jun 2006

I have version 1.6 if that makes any difference?

I seem to be the odd one out here

  Jackcoms 19:16 06 Jun 2006

Latest version is 1.6.5

delete A2 & download it again, might cure a corrupted file.
