a2 Activation Problem

I downloaded a2 successfully (I think) and was given a code to activate it. With the code entered (correctly) I get the message "Can not connect to the account server. Please check your internet connection settings."

I found that the a2 control centre help-page warns against using Freeserve, my main ISP, but the problem continues with 'beeb.net', my other ISP.

Help, please.

Have a look at a-squared's FAQs. They have an answer to this. They give several possible reasons. My problem was that the proxy boxes in Internet Options/Connections needed clearing.
