from the Start button please?

You don't say what os but try start/settings/taskbar and start there a bit in there to remove entries from your documents

Following your route I found provision to clear
the contents of the 'Documents' option on the Start button. This will do at a pinch but I'd really like to get rid of the 'Documents' option.

Anybody else?

I think that is a part of windows I dont think you can get rid of it.

I use XP, and I know its different, but I just right clicked on my taskbar and clicked properties. I then clicked on start menu tab and into advanced options. In there it gave me the ability to check/de-check the items that show up on my start menu, including 'My Documents'.

I just did it to thin mine out as it looks cluttered.

Don't if this will help any but let me know.

I think if you install TweakUI from microsoft, you can remove Documents from the start menu.

@[email protected] is on the money - Tweakui will give you this option.

As @[email protected] says, TweakUI.
