ive got a new wireless internet that says 54.mpbs which is the speed. but what is that in mb.
like 8mb or 16mb

You probably got a wireless router that is capable of up to 54mbps not the actual broadband connection itself. check you speed here click here

As stated it's the fastest potential speed of which the wireless router is capable - ADSLMax+2, for instance, has a potential figure of up to 24MB.
