I have loads of programs on floppies (such as pagemaker 6) and to save storage would like to transfer to cd-r of similiar. Is there a simple program to due this or do you just copy each disk in turn to any cd or dvd?

Many thanks

It's not as straightforward as just copying them to CD. the paths will need to be changed, you could try putting each floppy in it's own folder (disk 1, disk 2 etc.)

If it fails, all you lose is a cd :))

Can you not copy each into to a folder on the desktop and then copy the completed folder/s to a cd

Keep the floppies as an extra Backup

Check that you can restore from the cd if required before disposing of any data.

The installation would fail using that method, although you could always copy them back to floppy, so I suppose it's a way of preserving them...Chucked all mine out years ago.
