My computor crashed & has since failed to start because.
PXE-E61: MEDIA TEST FAILUER, CHECK CABLE
PXE MOF:EXITING PXE.

3Com PXE is apparently VERSION 0.99j.03

Anyone got any answers as to
1.Whats wrong
2.What cable to check

Basically, it is telling you it cannot communicate with your hard drive,

If you have a spare ide/sata cable,which ever your using,try that.
If you have two harddrives make sure that the jummpers on one is master and on the other is slave.
Make sure boot from harddrive is first in bios.
You don't mention OS but put the disk in and try a repair.

Its trying to boot from a network rather than your hard drive.

Reset BIOS to make HDD your first boot device

If it still will not boot then check / change HDD cables both power and data.

Chjecked & made sure HDD cables were all seated correctly as advised & lo & behold everything ok.
