How do I clean 35mm slides before I scan them into the computer?

I have successfully cleaned them with methylated spirit.

Any commercial film cleaner will do it, just follow directions and rub as little as possible. Also, NoScratch by Edwal might be of use after you have cleaned the film. It will take care of any scratches, &c. It can then be cleaned off with the film cleaner.

I have also used methylated spirit successfully, just remember not to rub to hard, a gentle rub with a soft rag will be fine.
