My grandson would like his own space,d/top icons etc etc.Could you please tell me how?
If we do this can he do as he likes, without affecting the other users part.
Many thanks. Les

  mosfet 22:32 05 Oct 2003

You mean to make me spent don't you:))
I thought this could be done ok in 98se?

  User-312386 22:35 05 Oct 2003

no dont want you to spend, but very difficult in what you are asking

what are your system specs?

  mosfet 22:47 05 Oct 2003

madboy.......I don't know the spec,I didn't think it mattered for this prob.It's 3 yrs old,just a p/bell package.

His mother does't want him up in his room on the net.So it's 1 pc downstairs..You can see why!

You cannot separate Files etc on windows 98, there is no security, although you can have different log on there is no point as it does not mean any thing

The nearest you could get is to partition the drive and dual boot win98 on both partitions just make a Image of 98 with drive Image and copy to the new partition but anybody can get at ether

Ahh right..I had the wrong idea.I thought only the user could get to the files on that logon.
Thanks,we know whats what now.....Regards Les.
