2 x graphics card, why?

I've been looking at new PC's and many come with two graphics cards. What is the advantage of having two graphics cards?

Thank you

Read all about it here ... basically for someone who only does the everyday run-of-the-mill computing, including games, one card is normally enough - but, if into heavy Games and multiple high-end video and graphics applications, then two cards might be better, as long as you have deep pockets!!
