2 accounts login problem

My PC has 2 accounts with passwords. The problem is that when I boot up is doesn't give me the option as to which account to log in to on start up, it just boots straight in to my account and doesn't ask for password. What do I do please. It should list both names and ask for a password.

Control panel > User Accounts > options.

Choose they way you want the login screen to appear, and which accounts to show.

I have done that but it still does it. I have 'use the welcome screen' ticked!!!

It's possible the accounts have become corrupt, also untick "use the welcome screen"

If that does not work, then edit, or re-create the accounts (I would delete them and start from scratch.

That hasn't worked. I don't know whether it is significant but I did upgrade from 2000 to XP.

Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2" but without the quotes then click OK. Tick "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" then click OK.
