Is there any way of getting a 1.5 volt dc output from the PSU of my computer.

Does your PSU have a 1.5v output? I don't think it is a voltage widely used in PCs. Tell us what you want it for.

Is it for a microphone? In which case 1.5v is supplied down the mic lead from the sound card for the microphone capsule.

Aha, Phantom power!

I have a couple of meters that need a 1.5v input. At present they take 1.5v camera type batteries (they are to check the memory and graphics card temp, as the room my computer in gets very hot in summer, and when they get too hot I take a walk), but I am fed up with changing them every couple of weeks, as it entails opening the computer up.

Just wondered it there was an output from the PSU, or if anyone knew of an adaptor.

Maplins sell many power supplies and I am sure you will find one there.
