I have a Hiper HPU-4M670-SK PowerSupply and thinking of buying an 8800gts (320mb). Have read that the graphics card needs a 12v amp rating of 25A or higher. How do i check this out?

thsta fine, as a guide line it's 26 amp recomended for the whole pc, just add together the amps on all the 12v rails ie yours is 64, make sure the loads spread evenly between the rails. that psu is fine

Thanks Adman 2, I did look at adding the 4 12v rails but thought that 64 Amps was a bit high.

I now have my 8800gts and its working like a dream, my system spec is...

AMD64 3800X2 (939) not AM2
2Gig ddr 400 ram
160 SATA drive for Windows and a few programs
320 SATA drive for everything else
320mb 8800gts.
DVD Re-writer/CD Re-Writer

Im hoping that now i have this great card i will be able to keep up with the games for a year or two... want to be able to play Crysis at a reasonable rate.

Thanks again

Steve

they are fantastic cards, the drivers are still being worked on and new ones coming out all the time increasing performance and compatiblity.
