Hi Everyone,

I have been saving up for years to buy a really awesome pc and I wanted to know what your opinions are on some of the options that I've chosen and what ideas you may have to better improve the system. I've spent weeks sorting through what I should put into it and this is what I've come up with so far;

Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB Kit (4GBx4) DDR4 2400 MT/s

Optical Drive: ASUS BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS 12X Blu-ray Internal Burner Drive with Disc Encryption

Case: Cooler Master HAF X - Full Tower Computer Case with High Airflow Windowed Side Panel and USB 3.0

CPU: Intel Core i7-5960X Haswell-E 8-Core 3.0GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W Desktop Processor

MotherBoard: ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME, Extended ATX x99 Motherboard , LGA 2011-V3 Socket, DDR4 3300Mhz+(OC)

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 (Will be playing for long hours on 4k graphics, but I don't want to get water cooled system for fear of leakage or evapouration)

Hardrives: 2 x Western Digital 4 TB Green SATA III 5400 RPM 64 MB Cache Bulk/OEM (Storage) 1 x Intel 520 Series Solid-State Drive 120 GB SATA 6 Gb/s 2.5-Inch (For OS) 1 x ASUS ROG RAIDR Express PCI-E 240GB PCIe 2.0 x 2 MLC Internal Solid State Drive

GPU: 2 x GTX 980 Geforce OC

Power Supply: SILVERSTONE ST1500 1500W ATX 12V 2.3 & EPS 12V SLI 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply (This might be overkill, but Im not sure)

Monitor: Samsung 28-Inch Ultra High Definition LED Monitor

I will appreciate any advice you guys can give me.

Thanks for the advice. Ill definitely switch to a lower wattage PSU, but I don't trust water CPU coolers at all. If one gets a leak or starts evaporation in my case I'm 100% screwed lol. Do you have any other suggestions for Air Coolers?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your answers, I have actually considered the H105i water cooler at first, but in my search through countless forums for the perfect CPU cooler, water coolers while still rare, have been known to leak and cause condensation inside the case. IN my case if I do go for a water cooler I run the risk of losing everything whereas with a air cooler, I can monitor the temperature inside the cooler without too much risk to other components.
