Heyy, i'm wanting to build a Gaming system to be able to run a triple monitor setup. i did alot of research into compatibility to try and keep the system build from being a failure but i couldn't find any posts on some of the components i wanted in my system. List of Components and case.

  • 2 way crossfire MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming 3G Twin Frozr IV OC
  • One Western Digital 3Tb Sata 3 HDD WD30EZRX
  • One Kingston ssdNow 120GB SV300S37A/120G

Hi , first thing I would say is change the PSU . The one you list is WAY over what you need . A 750w would be more than sufficient, specially in the RM range they are very good PSU's . Can't help you too much with the AMD kit , I am an Intel / NVIDIA man myself . But I would say think about 2 GTX 770 rather than the R9 280 as they run cooler and quieter . Double check the case will take the 240mm rad , pretty sure it will tho . If you can afford it go for the Samsung 840EVO SSD , great bit of kit , comes with Rapid mode , which makes it even faster . Good luck .

Was thinking of getting a couple of nvidia GTX 770 tbh.. just that the board didnt really seem to support sli and if i went down another MB instead... i'd be cutting the PCIe lane bandwidth. trying to keep at least two PCIe 3.0 lanes so that i can get the fullest of my GPU. and was thinking of lowering the PSU. just didnt want to get something a little too low watttage to support the system and the fact that i may even add more SDD's later in the future. will defiantly consider the Samsung 840 evo SDD. thanks for the advice anyways ^^
